Waste Depot Manager Location: Darby Close, Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, SN2 2PN Start Date: ASAP Contract Duration: 13+ Months Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week Pay Rate: £21.49 per hour Job Ref: OR12786 Job Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the waste depot, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and efficiently. Manage and coordinate the team, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to regulations. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve waste management processes and enhance service delivery. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards. Monitor and manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimize operational efficiency. Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to address community needs and enhance service quality. Prepare and present reports on depot performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. Person Specifications Proven experience in waste management or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset to drive operational improvements.
