LGV Waste Collection Driver (Category C)Location: BarnsleyHours: Full-time (as per rota 37 hours per week) Tuesday to FridayContract: TemporaryPay Rate: 14.82 PAYE per hour 19.20 LTD Umbrella per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced LGV Waste Collection Driver (Category C) to join a local authority waste services team in Barnsley.This is a key frontline role ensuring the safe and efficient collection of household waste, while supervising a small crew and delivering a high-quality service to the local community.Role OverviewWorking as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for completing daily waste collection rounds across the borough, ensuring high standards of service delivery while maintaining safety for your team, the public, and yourself.You will also take on supervisory responsibilities, overseeing a small team and ensuring all operational duties are carried out effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive LGV vehicles (Category C) on designated waste collection routesSupervise and support waste collection crew members on a daily basisEnsure all collections are completed safely, efficiently, and on scheduleOperate mechanical lifting equipment for refuse collectionMaintain cleanliness, safety, and security of vehicles and equipmentEnsure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation and safe systems of workCommunicate professionally with residents and handle queries appropriatelyComplete ..... full job details .....
