Connect2Swindon is recruiting on behalf of our client for reliable and safety-conscious Waste Collection Drivers (HGV Class 2) to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe collection, transportation, and disposal of waste materials while delivering a high standard of service to the local community.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
• Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts and occasional weekend work where required.

Day-to-Day Duties

• Complete pre-use vehicle inspections and attend route briefings.
• Drive designated collection routes across residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
• Ensure safe loading and unloading practices are followed at all times.
• Report any incidents, defects, or operational issues promptly.
• Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to maintain efficient operations.
• Complete end-of-shift vehicle cleaning and all necessary documentation.
