Waste and Cleansing Driver (HGV Class 2)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Waste and Cleansing Driver (HGV Class 2) to join a busy local authority team on a temporary contract with an immediate start available.This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious driver with experience operating HGV vehicles within waste, recycling, cleansing, or environmental services.Role Details:Position: Waste and Cleansing Driver Rate: £20.21 per hour (Umbrella)Contract: 3 Months+ (potential extension)Hours: 2:00pm - 10:00pmStart: ASAPKey Responsibilities:Safely operate and drive HGV Class 2 vehicles on designated collection routes.Carry out daily vehicle inspections and safety checks.Lead and supervise a small crew, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.Adhere to Health and Safety procedures and road traffic regulations at all times.Use in-cab technology and systems to record service delivery and incidents.Deliver high standards of customer service while representing the Council professionally.Assist with waste and cleansing operations as required.Essential Requirements:Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) Driving Licence.Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.Experience operating HGV vehicles within a waste, cleansing, recycling, highways, environmental, or similar service.Experience conducting vehicle safety inspections and maintenance checks.Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank ..... full job details .....
