Warehouse/Factory Operative

Job Purpose

To accurately cut cables to specified lengths, coil them neatly, and package them securely ready for dispatch, ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure and cut cables to precise lengths according to job sheets or work orders
• Coil cables neatly and consistently to company standards
• Package cables correctly, including labelling and sealing for shipment
• Ensure accuracy of quantities and sizes before packaging
• Carry out basic quality checks to identify defects or damage
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Follow all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
• Report any issues with materials, equipment, or specifications to the supervisor
• Meet productivity targets while maintaining quality standards

Skills & Experience - Essential

• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow written instructions and measurements
• Manual handling capability
• Basic numeracy skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or assembly work
• Experience handling cables, wiring, or similar materials
• Familiarity with basic measuring tools

Shift: Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm

Pay: £13.52ph (weekly pay)
