Warehouse Technician

Role: Warehouse Technician Location: Holford Way, Birmingham Job Type: Contract Working Environment: Staging / Technical Facility Shift Pattern: AM shift Typically 7-3 Flexibility required On behalf of our client, Rapid Resource is looking for a Weigh Scale Verification Technician to join the WSV Calibration Team at their staging facility in Holford Way, Birmingham. This is a hands-on technical role involving the preparation, calibration, verification, testing and basic repair of retail weighing equipment prior to deployment to customer sites. You will work as part of an established staging team, reporting to the Supervisors and Management Team. Full training on the client''s specific WSV processes and systems will be provided; however, we are looking for someone who is practical, technically minded, confident using hand tools and comfortable working with computers and detailed processes. Key Responsibilities Your duties will include: Raising pick requests for weighing scales and associated equipment using the RICO Trace system. Breaking down delivered pallets and preparing equipment for processing. Unboxing weighing scales and checking equipment before calibration. Applying the appropriate SGS labels. Fitting ancillary equipment where required, including Checkpoint, 2D Imager and Sensormatic kits. Connecting scales to power and monitoring the required warm-up period.
