Warehouse Team Leader

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for our client based in Guildford, Normandy.

Location: Guildford, Normandy

Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• You will be working 8 hour shifts a day between the hours of 6am to 6pm
• Paid 40 hours per week

Pay:

• -28,500 pa
• -13.70 per hour

Responsibilities of the Warehouse Team Leader:

• Supervise and lead warehouse staff, fostering a productive and positive work environment.
• Oversee inventory management processes, ensuring accurate tracking and control of stock levels.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse distribution and operations.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely processing of orders.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to monitor workflow and manage inventory effectively.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards within the warehouse.
• Conduct regular training sessions for team members on materials handling and equipment operation, including forklift usage.
• Manage logistics related to e-commerce fulfilment, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed, assisting with the movement of products throughout the facility.
• Maintain mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

Requirements of the Warehouse Team Leader:

• Experience in warehouse supervision is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control methods and logistics operations.
• Experience with shipping & receiving procedures in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively.
• Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physical activities as required by the job.
• Forklift licence preferred
• Previous experience in logistics is beneficial but not mandatory.
