Warehouse Team Leader

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Warehouse & Production Team Leader to join our clients in St Neots. Reporting to the Site Operations Leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing the warehouse and production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operations. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, improving processes, driving performance, and ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

Main Duties

• Lead and manage warehouse and production staff, including recruitment, training, and development.
• Allocate workloads and monitor performance to consistently achieve business targets.
• Ensure customer orders are picked, packed, and delivered accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update work processes/documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, safety, and cost reduction.
• Conduct audits, checks, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with H&S standards.
• Lead daily shopfloor TDMs and communicate outcomes to management.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and transport partners.
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and engagement within the team.

Skills / Requirements

• At least 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, logistics, or production leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, health & safety, and stock control.
• Proven experience improving KPIs such as OTIF, LFR, and inventory accuracy.
• Confident in using IT systems, including MS Office and ERP/WMS systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a multifunctional team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with lean and continuous improvement tools (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, tiered audits).
• Able to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and deliver results.

Hours & Pay

Salary is dependent on experience
