Warehouse Team Leader

Salary: -15.27 per hour

We are a leading distribution company, committed to delivering excellence and innovation in logistics. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Coalville. This is a hands-on role where you will be an integral part of the team''s daily work and a key support to management.

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you''ll be a key player in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. You will be responsible for both leading and doing the work, ensuring all operational targets are met efficiently and accurately. In this dual role, you will act as a supervisor of the building''s operations, providing crucial support to the Operations Manager and the team. You''ll set the example for your team through your own work ethic and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of warehouse operatives.

• Assist the Operations Manager with team management and building operations.

• Actively participate in all warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, and dispatching.

• Assist with reports, databases, and tracking systems, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.

• Coordinate daily activities and allocate tasks to meet targets.

• Help with training new starters, ensuring they are quickly integrated into the team and understand procedures.

• Ensure all team members, including yourself, adhere to health and safety regulations.

• Maintain a high standard of accuracy in all tasks.

• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.

• Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment.

• A strong work ethic and the ability to lead from the front.

• IT literate with experience in reports, databases, and tracking systems.

• Excellent leadership and motivational skills.

• Proficiency in all general warehouse duties.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
