Warehouse & Forklift Operative - Night Shifts

Location: Southampton

-13.49 per hour

Monday-Friday night shifts starting from 17:15 until finish (depending on workload)

Role Purpose

This role supports the safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods within a busy warehouse operation. The successful candidate will operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport stock while ensuring accuracy, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Counterbalance and/or Reach forklifts safely and efficiently
• Load and unload vehicles, ensuring goods are handled correctly
• Move stock to designated storage locations and replenish warehouse stock
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for dispatch
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any defects
• Maintain stock accuracy and assist with inventory control
• Follow all health, safety, and warehouse procedures
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and compliant
• Support general warehouse duties as required

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
• Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock handling
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

• Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Comfortable working night shifts
• Able to manage physical workloads throughout the shift
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn
