Warehouse Supervisor
Overview
I''m currently supporting a growing IT Lifecycle and Circular Economy organisation that is looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee its warehouse and operational functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations while driving continuous improvement, maintaining high health & safety standards, and supporting operational performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing warehouse processes, managing stock flow, leading a team, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day warehouse and operational activities to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Support warehouse administration, data management and operational processes across multiple departments.
- Ensure Health & Safety, hygiene and security standards are maintained at all times.
- Manage stock control processes and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Lead, coach and motivate warehouse staff, setting performance expectations and monitoring KPIs.
- Conduct staff reviews and support day-to-day people management activities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency and overall performance.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of two years'' experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership position.
- Experience working within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or operational environment.
- A strong understanding of Health & Safety, ideally supported by an IOSH qualification or equivalent.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and warehouse administration processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including methodologies such as Lean, 5S, Kaizen or Six Sigma.
- Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience managing stock accuracy, inventory control and cycle counting.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within an ITAD, manufacturing or warehouse operation.
- Experience designing warehouse layouts or improving operational process flow.
- Additional Health & Safety qualifications.
Package
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday.
- 42-hour working week.
- 32 days annual leave (including public holidays).
