Location: Newark (NG22)
Salary: -16.82 per hour
Hours: 8.30am - 17.30pm- - Monday to Friday-
Temporary ongoing role with the potential to become permanent after 12 successful weeks

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation, ensuring productivity, safety, quality and service standards are consistently achieved. This role requires someone who can motivate a team, manage daily warehouse activities and support operational performance while maintaining high standards of compliance. A Reach Truck License with experience would be preferred.-

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a small team of warehouse operatives across daily operations.
- Allocate workloads and monitor productivity to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Lead by example, working alongside the team when required.
- Operate FLT safely and efficiently.
- Carry out goods-in, goods-out and stock movement activities.
- Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management.
- Conduct daily team briefings and communicate operational priorities.
- Monitor attendance, performance and timekeeping.
- Provide coaching, training and support to new and existing employees.
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Complete accident, incident and near-miss reporting where required.
- Liaise with Warehouse Management regarding staffing levels, workflow and operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the warehouse.
- Complete relevant paperwork and system updates accurately.
- Previous experience supervising a warehouse or logistics team.
- Valid Reach in date external FLT licence with experience
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
- Excellent people management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Experience working to KPIs and productivity targets.
- Good IT skills, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.
