About the Role

Pertemps Birmingham Commercial seeks a Warehouse Operator for its Tyburn logistics hub. This full-time, permanent position offers £18 per hour for a fixed night shift running Monday to Friday, 22:00 to 06:00. You will handle receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of pharmaceutical goods within a highly automated centre, ensuring precision and efficiency across all tasks. Strong attention to detail and reliability are essential, as is the ability to work independently through the night. Prior warehouse experience helps but is not mandatory; training ensures you meet strict quality standards. This role suits someone comfortable with physical work and consistent routines.

We are looking for motivated and reliable Operations Team Members to join our state-of-the-art Central Logistics Centre in Birmingham.
This is a multi-skilled warehouse role where you'll play a vital part in ensuring healthcare and pharmaceutical products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. Working within a highly automated environment, you'll support the delivery of essential medicines and healthcare products to customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, pack and dispatch customer orders using warehouse management systems and automated technology.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Receive, store and move stock within the warehouse while maintaining product quality and compliance standards.
  • Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate stock records.
  • Use handheld scanners and warehouse management systems to process stock movements.
  • Ensure stock rotation procedures are followed.
  • Operate Material Handling Equipment where trained and authorised.
  • Support warehouse productivity targets and KPIs.
  • Identify and report operational issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
