Warehouse Operative/Van driver

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of pipelines, valves, and fittings for the water, gas, and oil industries. Headquartered on Metcalf Drive, Altham Industrial Estate, Accrington (BB5 5TU), the company provides bespoke manufacturing, pipeline installation, and a 24/7 emergency service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Picking and packing of goods
• Production work (cutting/grinding/assembling etc)
• Housekeeping duties & general warehouse work as requested by the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
• Loading and unloading of wagons/vehicles
• Driving company vehicles to and from suppliers/customers in a safe & legal manner
• Ensure the company vehicles are kept tidy always, communicating any concerns to the Warehouse Manager
• Observe and follow SOP''s & report any concerns/ discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager
• Maintain a high quality of work leaving the Warehouse floor
• To inform the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor of any low stock of materials such as Paint, Grinding Discs, Pallets etc
• To ensure all tools/equipment are put away/cleaned after use, reporting any concerns to the Warehouse Manager/Supervisor
• All other responsible duties

Pay Rate:--13.24 per hour

Working Hours:-Monday to Friday 8.30pm - 5pm (37.5 hours per week)

Contract Type:-Temporary to permanent
