Warehouse Operative with Forklift licence

Our client are a leading building merchants supplying high-quality construction materials to trade and domestic customers. With a strong focus on service, safety, and reliability, we are looking for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid forklift licence to join our clients growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load and unload deliveries using a forklift 

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for collection and delivery

• Receive, inspect, and store incoming stock in accordance with company procedures

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment

• Assist with regular stock checks and inventory audits

• Work collaboratively with drivers, sales staff, and other warehouse team members

• Follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE requirements

• Provide excellent customer service when dealing with trade counter queries or helping customers with collections

Requirements:

• Valid forklift licence (e.g., RTITB; NPORS or ITSSAR accredited)

• Previous experience in a warehouse or builders’ merchants environment (preferred)

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting heavy items

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and organisational skills

Hours of Work:

• Mon to Fri; Saturday shifts available: 08H00 - 17H00 

Desirable:

• Knowledge of building materials and construction products

• Full UK driving licence
