About the Role
Rapier Employment is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team in Fawley. This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role offers £13.49 per hour, paid weekly, with working hours from 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, the position involves handling materials within a safety-focused environment. Key duties include picking and issuing stock, storing items in racking or shelving, and delivering materials across site using a van or forklift truck. Operatives must comply with site Health & Safety procedures and Personnel Safety Management Systems (PSMS), taking responsibility for both personal and colleague safety. This position provides a route toward longer-term employment.

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Fawley. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Team Lead and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy, safety focused warehouse environment, with the possibility of longer term employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working safely at all times in compliance with site Health & Safety procedures
- Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others
- Operating within site Personnel Safety Management Systems (PSMS)
- Picking and issuing materials to site
- Storing materials in racking and shelving locations
- Delivering materials to site using a van or forklift truck
- Loading and unloading materials using a forklift truck
- Manning the warehouse service counter
- Goods receipting and processing deliveries
- Data entry into the warehouse management system (SAP) and spreadsheets
- Dispatching materials
- Participating in an on-call rota for site emergency material requests
- Working additional hours when required to support the customer
- Responding to ad hoc requests from management
- Good numeracy, literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail
- IT literate
- Forklift truck experience
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek support
- A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (speeding offences only)
