Warehouse Operative

The successful applicant will be a good communicator who is proactive, reliable and thrives in a production environment.Role: Warehouse operativeLocation: DS Smith Paper, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TDRate: £12.72 per hour days £13.91 per hour Nights £16.00 per hour on the clampShift Patterns: 62 hours 2 weeks of days, Mon-Fri 5.30am-17.30pm 2 weeks of nights, Mon-Fri 17.30pm - 5.30am 1 week of days, Mon-Thurs (Fri off) 5.30am - 17.30pmStart: ASAP (within 1-2 weeks)Responsibilities:Manually loading and unloading goodsScanning itemsEnsuring all materials are securedManaging the movement of vehicles in the bay and communicating with drivers.Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments and updating inventory recordsFollowing appropriate procedures as trained at all timesAdhering to a high level of UK Health and Safety at all timesMaintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the departmentEssential requirements:Previous experience within a production, machine operation or industrial environmentAbility to perform physically demanding, manual work for extended periods.Strong attention to detailGood knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislationA proactive approach to tasks and ability to work on own initiativeApproachable individual that can also work as a teamStrong verbal and written ..... full job details .....
