Warehouse Operative PM Shift Location: Poynton / StockportSalary: £13.64 £14.12 per hour DOEHours: Monday- Friday - 2pm-10pmReference: ASPLIVOur client, a well-established steel processing and distribution business based in Poynton/Stockport, is currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Operative to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with warehouse or industrial experience looking for a stable, long-term role within a supportive working environment.Key Responsibilities Safely operate 5-ton overhead gantry cranes using radio remote and pendant controlsLoad, unload, store, and retrieve steel products efficiently and safelyOperate forklifts, side loaders, Combi lifts, and other mobile plant where trainedCarry out pre-use safety and equipment checks on machinery and plantComplete picking tickets, stock checks, and dispatch paperwork accuratelyConduct quality checks using measuring equipment to ensure correct sizing and labelling of materialsMaintain excellent housekeeping standards across warehouse and working areasAdhere to all Health and Safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work in line with ISO45001:2018Support wider warehouse operations and assist with additional duties as required Candidate Requirements Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or steel industry experience preferredExperience operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts advantageousStrong understanding of health and safety and manual ..... full job details .....
