The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be the backbone of our daily operations. This is a fast-paced and physically demanding role dealing with industrial paint products. Because many of our product codes look very similar, this job requires a sharp eye and high focus to ensure our customers get exactly what they ordered.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate Order Picking: Correctly identifying, picking, and packing industrial paint products based on product codes.
- Heavy Lifting: Safely handling, moving, and stacking stock weighing up to 25KG on a regular basis.
- Inventory Control: Assisting with stock rotation, unloading deliveries, and keeping the warehouse clean and organised.
- Maintaining Pace: Working efficiently during standard hours and finding that "second gear" to increase speed during peak busy periods without dropping accuracy.
- Impeccable Attention to Detail: You must be able to spot the minor differences between highly similar product codes to prevent errors.
- Reliability & Punctuality: As a small team, short-notice absences impact us heavily. We need someone dependable who takes pride in excellent attendance.
- Strong Communication Skills: A good level of written, spoken, and reading English is essential for reading codes, labels, and safety instructions.
- Great Attitude: A fast learner with a genuine desire to do well and support the wider team.
- Physical Fitness: Comfortable with continuous heavy lifting (25KG) and being on your feet all day.
