Role: Warehouse Operative  

Location: Sawtry, Cambridge

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:30-16:30. Friday 08:00-16:00

Per Hour Rate: £12.71

Duties of a Warehouse Operative:

• Assemble university welcome bags according to detailed packing specifications.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock accurately for dispatch to universities and educational institutions.
• Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming deliveries.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure all welcome bags contain the correct items and meet company standards.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged goods.
• Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
• Prepare pallets and shipments for courier collection and distribution.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where applicable).
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
• Support seasonal increases in workload during university enrolment periods.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production and dispatch targets.

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or packing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to deadlines.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
• Previous experience with Pallets.
