Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join a busy distribution operation in Dunnington, York.The company operates within the seasonal consumer goods industry, with its York site handling warehousing, logistics and UK-wide distribution. As they head into their busiest time of year, we''re looking for reliable, hard working people who are comfortable in a physical, fast-paced warehouse environment.This is a hands-on manual role, so you must be comfortable being on your feet throughout the shift and carrying items weighing up to approximately 10kg.DutiesLoading and unloading containersMoving stock around the warehousePlacing items onto the production/warehouse linePalletising finished goodsManual handling of products up to approximately 10kgPreparing stock for storage and distributionKeeping work areas clean, tidy and safeFollowing all site Health and Safety proceduresSupporting other warehouse duties as required during busy periodsSkills:Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essentialHard-working and reliableComfortable with manual and physical workAble to work at a good paceGood attitude and willingness to get stuck inAble to work well as part of a teamFlexible to work weekends when requiredMust have your own hi-vis and safety bootsGood attendance and timekeeping are essentialThis would suit someone looking for warehouse work with plenty of hours who is happy working in a busy, hands-on environment. ..... full job details .....
