Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative Location: Ash, Canterbury Contract: Permanent Salary: £13.00 - £13.41 Role Summary: Our Client is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join their team at a temperature-controlled facility. This role is key to ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining high standards of health and safety. Key Responsibilities: Assemble, check, scan, and load pallets for deliveries. Book transport and create delivery paperwork. Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and loads for cost-effective solutions. Relocate pallets and monitor stock levels. Load and unload local orders and packaging using appropriate trucks. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and carry out daily inspections. Communicate with the planning department regarding stocks and orders. Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required. Requirements: Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies. Strong organisational and time management skills. Good IT skills (Microsoft Office). Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Current or previous licenses for counterbalance and power pallet trucks. Awareness of food safety and HACCP standards.
