Warehouse Operative

Manpower is recruiting for Temporary Warehouse Operatives to work with our client in Melrose, Scottish Borders.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00
Rate of Pay: £12.75 Per Hour - Weekly Pay!

Main Duties:

• To provide support to all activities within the warehouse including pick, pack, despatch and put away, ensure all orders are picked for delivery quickly and efficiently and all the stock is stored securely.
• Careful and appropriate handling of the garments and products.
• Picking, packing and despatching orders with consistent accuracy.
• Loading and unloading vehicles.
• Checking deliveries, reporting any discrepancies, quality control to the spec sheets and putting away in the correct location in the warehouse.
• Administrative support when required including receiving stock on the correct purchase order on the system, preparing the packing lists, commercial invoices.
• Ensuring warehouse is safe, tidy, and easily navigable.
• Working to good standards of health and safety and meeting company warehouse standards and procedures.

Experience andamp; Skills

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in the warehouse environment and shipping.
• Attention to detail and understanding of product quality.
• Knowledge of textile industry and garments would be beneficial.

Skills:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Able to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Good all-round communication skills.

Attributes:

• High accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
• Good team player with positive can-do attitude.
• Good time keeping.
