Main duties will include: Scan all freight during loading and unloading to maintain accurate tracking and inventory control. Verify that paperwork matches consignments and report any discrepancies promptly to maintain data integrity. Inspect incoming freight for damage or inadequate packaging and escalate issues to the Team Leader. Store freight in designated racking locations or zones, following WMS putaway logic to optimise space and accessibility. Conduct stock control activities including consumable counts, pallet audits, and cycle counts to support inventory accuracy. Replenish ground floor stock locations and operational equipment as required to maintain workflow continuity. Identify and handle hazardous consignments in compliance with safety regulations and company procedures. Report any unsafe freight conditions or potential hazards to the Team Leader immediately.
