About the Role
A Warehouse Operative position is available in Duxford with Manpower UK, paying up to £16.26 per hour on a temporary basis with potential for permanency. This role involves managing the safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials for a global client south of Cambridge. Daily duties include performing safety checks, quality inspections, and verifying deliveries for damage or shortages. You will organise stock correctly and utilise both Reach and Counterbalance trucks for loading and transporting goods to production. Prior forklift certification is essential. This contract suits individuals with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
We are currently recruiting for a Stores / Warehouse Operative to join our global client-based South of Cambridge.
This is a global leading company and is a Temp to Perm role. You will be joining at a fantastic time as they look to increase their workforce within the Stores and Warehouse team.
Starting rate £16.26 per hour
Principal Purpose
To ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
Principal Elements
- Carry out daily safety checks
- Quality check all products
- Take delivery of goods and supplies
- Check for damaged or missing items
- Store goods appropriately
- Safe and efficient use of Reach Truck and Counterbalance trucks
- Load goods for dispatch
- Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards
- Carry out stock counts as and when required
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others
- Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency
- Picking orders for dispatch
