Warehouse operative - llanwern

We have a temporary Warehouse Operative position available at TATA Steel''s Llanwern Works, perfect for someone with strong manual handling skills who is adaptable, a good communicator, and safety-conscious.-

Position: Warehouse Operative-

Location: TATA Steel, Llanwern Works, Newport NP19 4QZ-

Pay: -12.21/hour (basic), with a 25% shift allowance (-15.26/hour). Overtime available at 1.5x (-18.32/hour)-

Contract: 6 months initially-

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts on a 6-week rotating schedule, averaging 37.5 hours per week. Shifts cover days, nights, and weekends, so flexibility is essential. Each 12-hour shift includes two unpaid 30-minute breaks.-

Key Responsibilities:-

Dispatching materials according to client requests-

Handling goods on both inbound and outbound shipments-

Upholding Health and Safety standards and encouraging others to do the same General housekeeping duties, such as stock takes, quality checks, and reporting damages-

Operating machinery (training provided)-

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience in a warehouse or production environment-

Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills Computer literate-

Solid understanding of UK Health and Safety regulations-

Capable of manual handling, including lifting bulky items and standing for long periods-

Desirable:-

Full driving license with access to a car-

Knowledge of the steel industry-
