About the Role Inplace Personnel Services Ltd is recruiting reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to support operations within the Statutory Examination Area at the Port of Felixstowe. Successful candidates will work across a range of secure examination facilities where imported cargo is presented for inspection by UK Government and statutory agencies. This is a physically demanding role involving warehouse operations, container unloading and loading and cargo handling in a fast-paced port environment. Due to the nature of the work, hours can vary depending on operational requirements and as such, flexibility is essential. Key Responsibilities Handballing cargo by manually unloading and reloading shipping containers. Reloading cargo into the original container following inspections. Operating MHE equipment - training will be provided. Complete a site competency assessment before operating Port equipment. Moving cargo safely around warehouse facilities. Working across multiple examination facilities including temperature controlled areas (i.e. refrigerated/frozen containers) Assisting with warehouse housekeeping duties including: Floor scrubbing Pallet washing Maintaining clean and tidy work areas Working within food-grade, refrigerated and clean handling environments while following strict hygiene procedures.
