Warehouse Operative

Firmin Recruit are pleased to be working with our established distribution company based in Aylesford, Kent.- Our client has been established since 1975 and has office worldwide.- Due to business growth my client is looking to recruit an experienced Inbound/Outbound Warehouse Operative to join their friendly team.

The overall purpose of the role is to unload/load containers, trailers. Pick and pack large pallet orders, and general warehouse duties.

Hours:- 7 am - 3.30 pm or 8.30 am- 5pm Monday - Friday- (varies each week)

Overtime is occasionally required

Holidays : 29-day holiday including bank holidays. Parking, Pension,- Sick pay full after first six months of employment, bonus scheme, overtime, uniform.

The Role:

• To unload cargo from a shipping container- ( loose and palletised)
• To palletise loose cartons for putting away into bays
• To move pallets in/out of warehouse locations
• To load ocean freight containers/trailers
• To receive and check inbound and outbound inventory
• To store and record stock with WMS System

Suitable Candidate:

• Previous warehouse and forklift experience with WMS Warehouse Management Systems.
• Good Excel/office package skills
• eCommerce warehouse experience
• Forklift Counter- Balance experience and licence
• Strong customer services skills
• Great attention to detail.
• Good numeracy skill
• A "can do"/ positive attitude
• Flexibility - willing to work overtime when necessary
• Physically fit, as role requires manual handling, container unloading & some heavy lifting.
