Warehouse Operative/ Driver

Location: CroydonJob Type: Temporary, full-time.The London Fire Brigade is seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative / Driver to support the Operations Support Centre. This role plays a vital part in ensuring frontline teams are equipped with the essential supplies and equipment they need to serve and protect London.You will be responsible for warehouse operations, stock control, and delivery of goods, helping maintain efficient and responsive support services.Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse DutiesReceive, check and process deliveries against purchase ordersPick, pack and issue stock accuratelyMaintain stock records and update systemsSupport urgent requests for essential operational equipmentConduct stock checks and report discrepanciesEnsure safe storage, labelling and security of goodsDriving DutiesDeliver and collect goods across London using fleet vehiclesComplete scheduled delivery routes and ad hoc collectionsObtain proof of delivery and maintain accurate logsCarry out vehicle checks, reporting defects and maintaining cleanlinessSupport mail and consumable distribution to operational sitesEssential Experience and SkillsExperience in a warehouse or stores environmentExperience handling stock, deliveries, and record keepingFull, clean UK driving licenceExperience driving a 3.5 tonne van and completing multiple daily deliveries Ability to safely move heavy items (with lifting aids)Strong organisational and communication skillsBasic IT skills for stock systems and ..... full job details .....
