Warehouse Operative / Driver

A leading UK wholesaler with branches across the UK and Ireland is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Driver to join its Gloucester team. This varied role combines warehouse operations with customer deliveries and would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on position with plenty of variety and customer interaction.

Based in Gloucester , this Warehouse Operative / Driver position is easily commutable from Cheltenham ,Tewkesbury ,Stroud ,Churchdown, Quedgeley 

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering goods to customers using company vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
• Planning delivery routes and communicating delivery updates to customers
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles remain clean and roadworthy
• Safely loading and unloading deliveries, including some heavy lifting
• Picking, packing and checking customer orders accurately
• Receiving, storing and organising stock deliveries
• Maintaining accurate delivery records and documentation
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe
• Following all health and safety procedures and using PPE provided

You will bring to the role... 

• A full UK driving licence
• Previous experience within a warehouse, stores, delivery or logistics environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, organised approach with excellent attention to detail

A Forklift Truck Licence would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
