Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, inventory control, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Handle materials with care, including heavy lifting as required.
• Assist with stocking shelves and organising products within the warehouse.
• Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in fulfilment.
• Facilitate shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment.
• Utilise mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance of equipment when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

Skills

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in using a forklift and understanding of safety protocols associated with its operation.
• Experience with materials handling techniques to ensure safe movement of goods.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems, particularly AS400, is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
• Skills in picking & packing processes to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Understanding of shipping & receiving procedures to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
• Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.
