Warehouse Operative – Morley, LS27
Permanent Position
Shifts: Rotating – 7:00am–4:00pm / 8:00am–6:00pm
Pay: Competitive, with overtime paid at time and a half

We are recruiting for a proactive, detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join a busy international container operation in Morley (LS27). This is a permanent role with variety, responsibility, and excellent overtime opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading international and domestic vehicles safely and on time

• Operating counterbalance and/or reach forklifts (valid CB licence essential)

• Receiving deliveries, checking quantities and condition, completing all paperwork accurately

• Putting away goods strategically to maximise storage space

• Picking and packing products in line with business requirements

• Completing all administration related to goods in/out using warehouse systems

• Conducting stock and inventory checks as required

• Inspecting merchandise for damages or discrepancies and resolving issues promptly

• Liaising with drivers, subcontractors, and office staff to ensure smooth operations

• Manual handling of goods and safe operation of warehouse equipment

• Carrying out safety checks on equipment, roller shutter doors, and dock levellers

• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in all warehouse, yard, and office areas

• Supporting site health & safety requirements, fire safety checks, and basic site/facilities maintenance

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence – Essential (Reach truck licence an advantage)

• Excellent reading, writing, and IT skills – confident using MS Office 365 and warehouse systems

• Strong attention to detail with a logical, accurate approach to work

• Proven experience in a busy warehouse logistics environment (container handling desirable)

• Good organisational skills and timekeeping

• Effective team player with clear communication skills

• Adaptable to change and committed to continuous improvement

• First Aid qualification preferred (training may be provided)
