Warehouse Operative

THE ROLE:As the Warehouse Operative, you will be directly responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.You will be directly involved in all aspects of warehouse operation tasks such as despatching, receiving, inventory management and order fulfilment.As a Warehouse Operative with a deep understanding of warehouse procedures, you will strive to improve processes and commit to continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems for maximum space utilization.Strive for service excellence, making the customer the primary focus, and ensure compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize storage utilization.Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring all required documentation is correct. Coordinate with carriers for timely and cost-effective shipments.Perform accurate and regular inventory cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain the integrity of stock records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).Receive incoming shipments, verify goods against purchase orders for accuracy and quality, and process returns.Conduct regular Health and Safety inspections in the warehouse.
