Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker in Newbridge, Edinburgh (EH28). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Carry out picking and packing duties to prepare orders for shipment. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring safe handling practices are followed. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations. Manage materials handling processes, including the organisation of stock within the warehouse. Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations. Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure standards are met. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation is maintained. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following health and safety protocols. Qualifications: Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with picking, packing, loading, and unloading processes. Basic mechanical knowledge is advantageous for equipment operation and maintenance. Experience with shipping and receiving procedures is beneficial.
