The Company

Loom Talent are proud to have been exclusively appointed to lead the hiring strategy for a new site start up in Lutterworth.

Our client, a leading global 3PL contract logistics provider are actively needing to source a full leadership and management structure for a prestigious existing customer.

This is a dual-role position combining hands-on warehouse operations with a strong focus on training, coaching, and promoting a safe working environment. You will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency while upholding the highest health & safety standards across the site for the facility in a timely fashion with a go-live fast approaching.

Operating within a dedicated customer facility in excess of 600,000 sq. ft. working to a site wide rotating shift pattern AM & Nights 4 on 4 off, with a projected headcount of 1,000 in peak periods.

The Role

The Warehouse MHE Trainer (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00) Rotating 4 On 4 Off role will play a critical role in designing, maintaining and leading all site based activity across what will be a key UK DC operation.

This position is a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced MHE professional to be at the forefront of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Duties:

• Carry out warehouse tasks (as trained) to support the smooth flow of stock from receipt through to dispatch
• Operate MHE equipment safely and efficiently in line with site procedures

Training & Safety Responsibilities:

• Ensure all site training requirements are completed and accurately recorded in line with company policy
• Deliver MHE inductions for new operatives
• Coach, mentor, and retrain MHE Operatives to maintain high skill levels and reduce risk
• Monitor and assess operator competence, ensuring standards are consistently met
• Ensure refresher training is completed within required timeframes
• Identify hazards and implement effective control measures
• Support and contribute to MHE-related accident investigations
• Assist in the creation and review of MHE risk assessments
• Deliver post-incident training and reassessments where required
• Actively promote and lead a strong Health & Safety culture on site

The Candidate

The successful candidate for the Warehouse MHE Trainer (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00) Rotating 4 On 4 Off opportunity will have the following skills and experiences:

• A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential
• ITSSAR or RTITB accredited MHE Trainer - Essential
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and processes - Essential
• Excellent awareness of health & safety, with the confidence to challenge unsafe practices - Essential
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) - Essential
• High level of diligence and attention to detail - Essential
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills - Essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Essential.
• Proven 3PL Warehousing experience required - Advantageous.
• Exposure to a successful & sizeable start up operations - Advantageous.

• Able to work on a permanent 4 on 4 off shift pattern, set shift times (Rotational) - Essential.
• Commutable to Lutterworth area 4 x days per week - Essential.
