Warehouse Manager
Talent Guardian are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Manager on behalf of a growing and ambitious Poole-based business. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and hands-on warehouse leader to take ownership of a busy operation and play a key role within the Senior Management Team.
You will be responsible for the overall performance of the warehouse, leading a team to deliver exceptional service levels, maintaining stock integrity, driving operational efficiency and ensuring customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
As the business continues to grow, you will have the opportunity to shape warehouse processes, develop people and implement improvements that support the next phase of growth.
The Role Key responsibilities include:
Warehouse Operations
- Leading all warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, accuracy and service levels are consistently achieved.
- Taking ownership of stock integrity and order fulfilment performance.
- Developing and improving warehouse processes, procedures and systems.
- Working closely with Supply Chain, Stock Control and Sales teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Identifying operational risks and implementing solutions to support business growth.
- Managing, coaching and developing the warehouse management team and wider warehouse function.
- Driving performance, accountability and engagement across the team.
- Managing training, attendance, performance and employee relations matters.
- Creating a positive, safe and inclusive working environment.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Maintaining safe systems of work and ensuring all team members are appropriately trained.
- Supporting audits, compliance activities and operational best practice.
- Ensuring GDPR and data protection requirements are adhered to within warehouse operations.
- Managing relationships with logistics and transport providers.
- Monitoring warehouse costs, labour efficiency and supplier performance.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Producing KPI reports and operational updates for the Senior Management Team.
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Logistics Manager or Distribution Manager.
- Proven experience leading and developing warehouse teams.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control and logistics management.
- Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiencies.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and experience managing budgets and KPIs.
- A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and warehouse compliance requirements.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively at all levels.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
