Warehouse Manager

Overview

Right Now Group are currently looking for a Warehouse Manager to join our client based in Hayes. Reporting to the Airfreight Director, the Warehouse Manager will be required to maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in the Warehouse and as well as the Operations Teams.The main purpose of this role is to oversee and manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse. Direct and control the use of warehouse resources ensuring safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.Shift and Hours

£55,000Duties and Responsibilities

Achieve warehouse operational objectives by recommending and reviewing current practices; prepare and complete action plans; resolve problems and identify trendsMotivate, organise and encourage teamwork to ensure productivity targets are metRespond positively to new business opportunities to maximise the potential of the warehouse facilityEnsure safe operations and adherence to Health and SafetyMaintain the security of the warehouseComply with aviation security regulationsEnsure quality and customer service standards are metDemonstrate and apply financial and commercial understanding of the business to manage costs and maximise financial returnPlan the orders for delivery and pickup to meet customer schedules, including staff levels and storage requirementsEnsure stock takes are completed regularly, and any discrepancies are dealt with and communicated in a timely manner.Train and develop the warehouse team, as well as monitor and manage performance.Manage the effective use of technology, make suggestions for improvements or developments to streamline processes.Produce regular reports and statistics on warehouse performance.Ensure the warehouse and yard are kept clean and tidy.Work with facilities concerning any building issues.Work with the management team to continually improve processes and business performance.Support changes in the role necessary to take the department and business forward; and work to achieve personal objectives set at appraisal and/or those set monthly or quarterly.Requirements

Airfreight / Cargo experienceClear DBSFull 5 year checkable historyMinimum 1 year experience as a Warehouse ManagerKnowledge of aviation security ..... full job details .....
