Are you an experienced Warehouse Manager looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment?

We''re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead the Warehousing Operations at our clients Hull manufacturing facility. This is a key leadership role where you''ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage and supply of materials to production, whilst driving safety, operational excellence, cost savings and continuous improvement across the department.

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you''ll lead and develop a skilled multi-disciplinary team operating across shift patterns in a unionised environment, ensuring service levels remain exceptional while supporting the wider business objectives.



About the Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will take ownership of warehouse operations, intake and dispatch yards, recycling activities, pallet and crate management, and off-site storage facilities. You''ll play a pivotal role in maintaining stock accuracy, supporting production requirements, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of the warehouse, dry goods stores, yards and recycling operations
  • Managing stock control processes, daily stock checks and investigating stock discrepancies to root cause
  • Ensuring the timely supply of materials to production through effective planning and execution of the 4-hour plan
  • Driving OTIF (On Time In Full) performance across warehouse operations
  • Developing and leading a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring and performance management
  • Delivering daily operational "cockpit" meetings to review priorities, performance and future planning
  • Managing pallet, tray and hire equipment contracts to ensure cost-effective supply and control
  • Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, particularly around recycling and waste reduction
  • Maintaining compliance with food safety, health & safety, environmental and ethical standards
  • Reviewing and updating SOPs to ensure robust operational controls and compliance
  • Managing all onsite MHE equipment, ensuring maintenance schedules and service records are maintained
  • Working collaboratively with Production, Engineering, HR, Finance, Planning and other stakeholder groups
  • Providing cover for the Intake & Despatch Manager during periods of absence


What We''re Looking For

We''re seeking a highly organised logistics professional with strong leadership skills and a proven background in warehousing within a fast-moving manufacturing environment.



Essential Requirements

  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience within Warehousing and Logistics
  • Experience in a Warehouse or Logistics Management position
  • IOSH Managing Safely, Level 3 Health & Safety qualification, or equivalent
  • Experience managing large teams across multiple shift patterns
  • Strong KPI management and performance reporting experience
  • Experience working within FMCG, food manufacturing or similarly fast-paced operational environments
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
  • Strong understanding of stock control, process compliance and operational planning


Desirable Experience

  • MRP systems experience
  • Accident investigation and risk assessment training
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects
  • Knowledge of planning, finance, commercial and production functions
