Warehouse Lead

Warehouse Operative Lead – Grays/Tilbury Area – £27,000 | 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday

We’re hiring a Warehouse Operative to join a small, hands-on team based in the Grays/Tilbury area, supporting the import and export of vehicles between the UK, Cyprus, Greece, and Bulgaria. You’ll be working with everything from vans and tippers to luxury and military vehicles—no two days are the same.

Key Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence – essential, as you’ll be moving vehicles throughout your shift
• Physically fit and agile – you’ll be working in tight spaces inside containers and handling cast iron frames
• Experienced and confident vehicle driver
• Able to take and follow instruction
• Interest in cars is a big plus
• Familiarity with tools (e.g. ratchet straps, hand tools, drop saws) is beneficial
• Forklift/counterbalance experience useful – training can be provided
• Experience with containers or vehicle racking systems is a bonus

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving vehicles onto ramps and into racking systems inside shipping containers
• Securing vehicles using chocks and ratchet straps
• Measuring vehicle dimensions to fit racking safely
• Assisting with dismantling parts like roof racks where necessary
• Supporting military and independent clients with vehicle exports and imports

Location: Grays/Tilbury area

Hours: 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,000
