As a Warehouse Assistant, you''ll be involved in the following activities: Preparing customer orders by picking and packing them accurately and efficiently, ensuring excellent service for charities and community groups. Receiving, checking, organising and storing incoming food deliveries safely, maintaining an orderly warehouse and making the best use of available space. Monitoring stock levels and quality, reporting discrepancies, completing stock checks and helping to minimise food waste using the GLADYS stock management system. Supporting volunteers, employability programme participants and corporate volunteer groups by providing guidance, encouragement and practical training in warehouse tasks. Delivering a welcoming, helpful and professional experience for our customers, volunteers and visitors, responding to queries promptly and courteously. Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain efficient warehouse operations, communicate handovers, identify improvements and report issues promptly.
