Warehouse and Logistics Operations Manager

Premier Work Support are delighted to be recruiting for a permanent Warehouse and Logistics Manager for one of their key clients based in Basildon, Essex.As the Warehouse and Logistics Manager you will oversee the operational performance across two freight forwarding warehouse facilities, ensuring efficient cargo handling, compliant documentation, and seamless coordination between warehouse, transport, and customs functions.You will need to be a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong knowledge of international freight processes, regulatory requirements, and customer service expectations within a fast-paced logistics environment.Key Responsibilities include:Multi-site leadership and coordinationCargo handling and warehouse operationsLogistics and transport coordinationInventory and warehouse controlPeople managementSkills requiredProven experience in warehouse or logistics management within the freight forwarding industry (air, sea, or multimodal).Strong understanding of bonded warehouse operations, customs processes, and international freight documentation.Knowledge of IATA, CAA, HMRC, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and data-driven decision making.Continuous improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma desirable).Comfortable stepping into operational tasks when required to support team performance and service delivery.Due to the environment that this role ..... full job details .....
