Overview
Ward Sister/Charge Nurse Acute Care Mental Health role at Morlais Ward, Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen. Band 6, 9 bedded acute adult mental health inpatient ward with allocated CAMHS inpatient provision. The post holder will be responsible for leading and delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a team that supports learning and reflective practice.Responsibilities
Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care with limited supervision.Teach and develop other nursing and non-nursing staff; provide regular supervision and appraisal of staff nurses.Undertake a clinical lead role on the unit in support of the Ward Manager.Demonstrate outstanding communication, leadership and documentation skills.Supervise staff and take charge in the absence of the Ward Manager, who has overall continuing responsibility.Qualifications and Requirements
Experience as a nurse with strong leadership and organisational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.Welsh language ability is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.
