Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented and dynamic multidisciplinary team to further develop our specialist service as a Centre of Excellence for Eating Disorders. The role involves leading a clinical team and working within a wider leadership team across the hospital to ensure a seamless and well delivered service. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic, creative and compassionate individuals who can inspire and lead others to support the delivery of person focused care. As an independent hospital, our 18 inpatient beds are commissioned in their entirety by NHS England.The Ward Manager will exercise influence over junior staff and peers and promote a culture of practice excellence and development for staff at all stages in their work life. Role Context

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a clinical team within the adult eating disorder ward and work within a wider leadership team across the hospital to ensure a seamless and well delivered service. Riverdale Grange is a specialist treatment provider for adults and young people, with 18 beds commissioned by NHS England.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Lead and manage the delivery of service in line with organisational objectives and service specification with support from the Clinical Matron/Hospital Manager.Work with other managers to deliver outcomes across the hospital; ensure staff wellbeing, attendance management and quality supervision.Provide frontline leadership to ward staff and develop a culture of clinical improvement, empowering the team to improve patient care and wellbeing.Deputise for the Clinical Matron/Hospital Manager as required; ensure service meets quality metrics and supports innovation.Ensure efficient use of staffing and resources, maintain an effective rota, monitor staffing levels and assess patient needs; advise on staffing changes as required.Oversee clinical incident reporting, lessons learned dissemination and practice change.Investigate complaints and apply learning.Manage delegated ward budget with support from Hospital Manager and Finance Manager.Undertake specialist clinical assessments and make autonomous decisions based on complex presentations and risk assessment.Provide advice, supervision and education to colleagues; act as a role model for clinical excellence.Liaise with other providers and across Provider Collaboratives to promote hospital services and maintain positive partnerships.Maintain professional knowledge, lead clinical audits and drive continuous improvement.
