Waking Night Support Worker Residential Children''s Home Location: Ascot Salary: £15.00 £15.50 per hour + £60 per sleep-in Hours: 40 hours per week, varied shift pattern Reports to: Registered Manager About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, resilient and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to support children and young people in a residential children''s home in Ascot. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care, promote emotional wellbeing and ensure a safe, nurturing environment throughout the night. Working within the Children''s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and relevant Quality Standards, you will help children feel safe, supported and valued while promoting their development, independence and positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide overnight supervision, care and emotional support to children and young people. Safeguard children, follow risk assessments and respond appropriately to incidents or emergencies. Support individual care plans, behaviour management strategies and complex needs. Build trusting relationships and promote positive behaviour, resilience and independence. Administer medication where required, following policies and procedures. Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports and safeguarding documentation. Complete household duties to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming home.
