Responsibilities
Leading vulnerability analysis and impact assessments, including risk evaluations
Using industry-standard tools (e.g., Nessus, Tenable, Defender) to identify and prioritise vulnerabilities
Producing assurance reviews and presenting risk findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Tracking and managing remediation efforts across affected services
Supporting governance, risk, and compliance processes tied to vulnerability management
Requirements
2–3 years of direct vulnerability management experience (3–5 years in overall security preferred)
Strong working knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Tenable, and Microsoft Defender
Desirable certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent (tool-specific certs are a bonus)
Excellent stakeholder communication skills and analytical thinking
Clear understanding of the distinction between broader security practices and vulnerability management
Candidates must be within 1-hour travel distance of Barrow-in-Furness – no relocation assistance is provided
No direct line reports, but some leadership expectations are tied to the role level
