Volunteer Support Project Lead

The Talent Set is delighted to be working with a charity to recruit a Volunteer Support Project Lead. This is an opportunity to develop a charity-wide Volunteer Strategy and practical Support Plan, helping ensure volunteers are safe, included and well supported across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Review existing volunteer roles, policies, processes, systems and support arrangements. Engage with staff, volunteers and other stakeholders to understand current strengths, gaps, risks and opportunities. Benchmark the charity''s approach against relevant sector guidance and good practice. Develop a Volunteer Strategy and practical Support Plan covering recruitment, onboarding, training, safeguarding, supervision, recognition, communications and evaluation. Create a clear volunteer journey and practical guidance for staff and volunteers. Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and, where required, trustees. Prepare a handover pack with priority actions and recommendations to support implementation. Person Specification Experience in volunteer management, volunteer strategy, fundraising, organisational development, change management or a related area. Strong project management skills, including planning, stakeholder engagement, risk management and reporting. Ability to turn strategic thinking into practical plans and guidance. Knowledge of safeguarding, inclusive volunteering, volunteer expenses and role boundaries. Excellent written ..... full job details .....
