Borderline ArtsA unique opportunity has arisen for a Graphic Designer at Borderline Arts (BA). BA''s aim is to use the arts to raise awareness of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), reduce the surrounding stigma and support those living with the diagnosis.

What are we looking for?
Knowledge and Skills Required Role Specific -Strong knowledge of and skills in using relevant software (ideally already has access to the software) -Ideally, is able to create short, simple animations -Basic illustrative skills to propose ideas in rough sketch form -Creative flair -Innovative -Attention to detail -Ability to proofread text General -Professional approach to deadlines -Dependable and committed to their role -Works well in a team -Can work autonomously - highly motivated and proactive -Has Access to internet, email etc -Communicates clearly and regularly with our Volunteer Coordinator -Abides by BA policies -Good understanding of BA’s aims, or willing to learn -At all times, works to achieve BAs’ aims
What will you be doing?
The Graphic Designer’s Role is to Work to a brief - We have some characters/a style that we would love to keep in some form, but for them to be modified to bring them to life. Share/discuss rough sketches of design ideas with the BA Founder (work together to agree on an idea) Estimate the time required to complete the work Work within that timeframe Proofread text included in the designs to produce accurate and high-quality work Present finalised ideas and concepts to the BA Founder Work well with other BA volunteers and any relevant external contacts Knowledge and Skills Required Role Specific Strong knowledge of and skills in using relevant software (ideally already has access to the software) Ideally, is able to create short, simple animations Basic illustrative skills to propose ideas in rough sketch form Creative flair Innovative Attention to detail Ability to proofread text General Professional approach to deadlines Dependable and committed to their role Works well in a team Can work autonomously - highly motivated and proactive Has Access to internet, email etc Communicates clearly and regularly with our Volunteer Coordinator Abides by BA policies Good understanding of BA’s aims, or willing to learn At all times, works to achieve BAs’ aims Commitment Length To be discussed in an informal interview, but 6 months minimum Time commitment Approximately 3-6 hours per week, but can vary week-to-week, so requires flexibility.Seniority level
