Proven Experience: At least 3 years of senior-level experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or a related field.Track Record: A demonstrated history of successfully securing major gifts from individuals and foundations.Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute a long-term, comprehensive fundraising strategy.Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Relationship Building: A natural ability to connect with and build trust-based relationships with high-net-worth individuals.Passion for the Mission: A genuine commitment to the values and goals of Action Change.What will you be doing?
This is a Volunteer Director of Philanthropy role, a part-time, pro bono leadership position for a professional with a deep understanding of fundraising and a desire to make a direct, tangible impact. You\''ll be instrumental in shaping our long-term fundraising strategy, diversifying our funding streams, and establishing a sustainable financial foundation for Action Change.Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Design and execute a comprehensive philanthropy strategy to diversify our funding base beyond grants and small-scale donations. This includes identifying and pursuing major gifts, developing a planned giving program, and exploring other long-term funding models.Relationship Building: Serve as a key ambassador for Action Change, identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family foundations, and corporate donors.Fundraising Leadership: Provide expert guidance and training to our team on donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Help embed a culture of philanthropy throughout the charity.Donor Pipeline Development: Identify, research, and qualify prospective donors and new funding opportunities. Build a robust and sustainable pipeline of support.Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of fundraising initiatives.Seniority level
