Volunteer Coordinator

We''re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Ambassador and Volunteer Coordinator to join our Northumberland Recovery Partnership and play a key role in developing and managing our volunteer and ambassador programmes across the service. About the Role This is a rewarding and varied position where you''ll lead on the recruitment, onboarding, development and support of volunteers and peer ambassadors across multiple recovery services in Northumberland. Working closely with service managers, staff and community partners, you''ll ensure volunteers have a positive experience, feel valued and are equipped to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of the people we support. You''ll also help expand volunteering opportunities, strengthen community connections and promote the value that lived experience brings to recovery services. The role covers services across Blyth, Ashington, Hexham and Berwick, so access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel regularly is essential. What You''ll Be Doing Recruiting, onboarding and supporting volunteers and peer ambassadors. Managing volunteer placements and providing ongoing supervision and guidance. Developing new volunteering opportunities across the service. Delivering inductions, training and development programmes. Building strong relationships with local community organisations and partners. Matching volunteers to suitable opportunities that benefit both the individual and the service.
