You will recruit, induct, train, place and supervise volunteers, including gardeners, befrienders and administrative assistants. You will also support disabled people who want to volunteer, helping them develop their confidence, skills and employment prospects through meaningful volunteering opportunities. A key part of the role will be matching volunteers with disabled people living in the community. You will assess individual needs, skills, interests, experience and availability to create appropriate and rewarding placements. You will maintain regular contact with volunteers and service users, review placement arrangements, support individual care plans and resolve any issues that arise.
